Ottawa, ON – Sebastien Boucher, Steve Brown, and Danny Grauer all homered as the Ottawa Champions dropped the New Jersey Jackals 10-4 on Sunday, completing the four game sweep.
Phillippe Aumont (W, 3-1) made his first start since being named to the Can-Am League All-Star team and picked up his third win of the season, allowing four runs on 10 hits in seven innings with six strikeouts and two walks.
With New Jersey leading 1-0 in the fourth, Brown gave the Champions the lead with a two-run homerun, but New Jersey responded in the fifth with three more runs of their own.
A two-run homerun by Boucher in the sixth tied things up, and then Ottawa went ahead for good in a four-run seventh inning.
Zach Arneson (L, 0-2) took the loss in relief for the Jackals, allowing three runs in one inning of work.
The Champions return home on Tuesday for a three game series against the Sussex County Miners. Austin Chrismon (5-3, 7.43 ERA) gets the ball in the opener for Ottawa. Gametime is 7:05 pm.
